Social media policy

This social media policy guides employees' use of social media—including blogs, microblogs, message boards, chat rooms and electronic news—in connection with the company. It sets expectations for personal and professional use, protection of confidential and proprietary information, respectful conduct, disclosure rules, and prohibitions on harassment, defamation or unauthorised representation of the company. It also covers use of company devices and brand assets, compliance with law and other policies, and consequences for violations. Indian organisations adopt it to manage reputational, security and legal risks from employee social media activity.
